Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission launches information service
CMEC has launched a national campaign to promote Child Maintenance Options, the free public information and support service which helps separated parents decide which child maintenance arrangement best suits their circumstances. Child Maintenance Options has been set up with the purpose of helping both parents make informed choices about the maintenance provision for their children. A YouGov poll, commissioned to coincide with the launch of the campaign, found that 93% of separated parents believe that mothers and fathers still have a financial responsibility for their children even if they do not live with them. However, over a third (36%) say they did not know where to go for impartial information about child maintenance.
